Dr. Jennifer Walden moved her busy practice to Austin so that her twin boys, Houston and Rex, could grow up among family. Walden is a role model to female plastic surgeons in Texas, where men compromise the vast majority of doctors in the field. Walden regularly appears in the media and is sought out as a speaker on topics that include technological advances in surgery and cosmetic procedures. Among her specialties, Walden consults and performs the following types of procedures:
- injectable soft tissues
- mommy makeovers
- teenage procedures
Walden is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and she completed a fellowship prior to starting her own practice. In addition, Walden belongs to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is an ongoing fellow at the American College of Surgeons.
Walden’s website defines a practice philosophy that promotes health and well-being through a personalized approach to cosmetic surgery decisions. “Enhancement of body image, turning back the clock so that your outer beauty and youth match your inner beauty and youth, and improvement of self-esteem are our ultimate goals,” according to the site.
Walden completed her medical education at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and was an attending physician there and at Lenox Hill Hospital. She was appointed a clinical instructor of plastic surgery at New York University’s Langone Medical Center.
As owner of the fully accredited Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center, she operates at a dedicated operating suite within Westlake Medical Center, where she has built a dedicated team focused on the highest levels of safety and care.
Walden can be seen on her lifestyle segment entitled “Looking Good and Living Well With Dr. Jennifer Walden” on Austin’s local ABC channel. She is a nationally recognized spokewomen in her field and has appeared on the Fox News Channel and Dr. 90210 and 20/20.
